Description

O is the most complete and demanding circuit. This trekking is 6 days long and the accommodation is in Shelters.

Day 1: Torres del Paine National Park – Base Trek of the Towers

You will meet your guide in a semi-private van that will head directly to Torres del Paine National Park. Tour of the vast Patagonian plains before arriving at the entrance to Laguna Amarga, where the guide must register the group with CONAF. We will continue until we reach the Torre Central Welcome Center and Refuge.

The tour continues in Ascensio Valley as it winds through windblown hills and extensive beech forests. During the final ascent, you will pass through an immense field of rocks until you reach one of the most emblematic points of view in the world, the Base of the Towers.

At an altitude of 900 meters, marvel at the steep granite walls of the Towers (north, center and south) and below the bright turquoise glacial lake. Take some pictures and have lunch before following the same road back to Torre Central Refuge for a well deserved rest and dinner.

Day 2: Trek to Dickson Refuge – Blue Lagoon

Your tour will begin after breakfast with a short  transfer to Laguna Azul. We will travel one of the least traveled trails through hills and wetlands where we will enter directly into the interior of the Park. Snow-covered mountains, pastel blue lakes and grassy fields will be the backdrop as you explore the north side of the park. Be amazed by the breathtaking views of Laguna Cebolla, Dickson Glacier, Cerro Cubo and other heights that mark the division between Chile and Argentina. Spend the afternoon walking along the rocky shores of Dickson Lake before a delicious meal at the Refuge.

Day 3: Trek to Camping Los Perros.

Enjoy the fresh, organic and earthy aroma as you enter a forest of ancient beech trees. The quiet forest tour will take us deep into the park through a green, vivid and lush vegetation. Feel the wind whistle through the branches and listen carefully to the sound of the drumming of a Magellanic woodpecker. We will border  Los Perros River until we ascend a giant moraine where you will be speechless with the incredible mountainous landscapes. Surprise yourself with  Los Perros glacier and the lagoon. You will continue along a rocky path before arriving at Los Perros Campsite, the place where we will spend the night. Rest, tomorrow you have a long day!

Day 4: Trek to Grey Shelter – John Gardner Pass

Get ready for the most demanding and rewarding day on the Paine circuit. After an early breakfast at the Refuge, you’ll begin your journey through the roots of twisted trees and large puddles of mud under a canopy of dark green beech trees. Get out of the forest and start climbing rocks and rocky (sometimes snowy) up to the highest point on the Paine Circuit, the famous John Gardner Pass (1,200m). Embrace the wild Patagonian winds as you feel inspired by the dominant Southern Patagonian Ice Field and the dazzling white and blue speckled mat.  Descend next to a gigantic ice wall and follow the path through the El Paso Campsite and pass the impressive Hanging Bridges before arriving at Grey Refuge for dinner and a well-deserved rest!

Day 5: Trek to Paine Grande Refuge.

Enjoy breakfast at Refugio Grey before starting to enjoy the most beautiful views.
the ice field of Southern Patagonia and the iceberg of Lake Grey. Walk through a mountainous forest until you reach the sometimes very windy Grey Glacier viewpoint.

Continue walking until you reach Laguna de los Patos, where you will begin to descend into a narrow, windy valley that will take you directly to Refugio Paine Grande.

Day 6: Trek to French Valley  – Return to Puerto Natales.

Today’s tour will be a round trip wich begins and ends at Refugio Paine Grande. Travel to the heart of the park through arid landscapes and bordering the enchanting blue waters of Lake Skottsberg. After approximately 2.5 hours of walking, you will arrive at the Italian Conaf nursery station where your tour of the Valley will begin.

Climb up a huge rocky field and follow a tree-lined ridge to the French viewpoint. Here, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of Los Cuernos, turquoise glacial lagoons and magnificent blue hanging glaciers cascading down the eastern face of Paine Grande (3,050mts). If you’re lucky, you’ll hear the thunderous sound of water and falling ice, as it’s a common place to witness avalanches.

Enjoy your Lunch box and a well-deserved rest. The return will be the same way to the Italian Conaf  reception  and back to Refugio Paine Grande.

Enjoy the 35 minute catamaran ride before boarding your semi-private transport back to Puerto Natales.

Enjoy a delicious farewell dinner with your group and guide!

CANCELLATION POLICIES

  • Up to 48 days before check-in, there is a 5% penalty for administrative costs.
  • Between 47 days and 35 days before check-in, 70% of the total reservation will be refunded.
  • Between 33 and 18 days before check-in, 30% of the total reservation will be refunded.
  • Less than 17 days before check-in, no refund.
  • No show / No Presentation: no refund.
